Taking a risk, I knew the only way to succeed was to commit fully, trust the process, and focus on helping others.
The opportunity was right in front of me: a Division I wrestling scholarship, the kind of thing most people dream about. My coaches, friends, and family were all excited for me. I had put in a lot of work to get to that point. But deep down, I knew it wasn’t right for me. When I thought about what the next four years would look like, I felt like I would be wasting time. What I really wanted was to jump right into working and start building my future.
So I turned the scholarship down. Everyone thought I was insane—except my mom. She believed in me, even when I had no proof that it would work. She just said, “Go for it,” and I did.
In the beginning, I worked for a great mentor, Jim, who flipped houses. It taught me a lot very quickly about how to find opportunities, solve problems, and create value in a home. I started researching, asking questions, and doing the groundwork. Before long, I got into wholesaling—finding properties and connecting them with investors for a profit.
Those early days were very hard. I would put in a lot of work and see no results for months. There was no clear roadmap; I just had to trust that the effort would eventually pay off. That’s where my background in wrestling really helped. To me, nothing compares to cutting weight for wrestling, still having to practice despite being exhausted and starving. It can be a brutal sport at times. But I gained a lot of grit and resilience from it. I’ve also always leaned on my faith, believing that if I kept showing up and doing the work, something would eventually break through.
Bit by bit, it did. I started closing deals. I met my business partner, Jack, and we launched Doors for Dollars. Suddenly, we were flipping properties on a national level. The more of these transactions we did, the more I realized how much we could help people facing really difficult situations, like foreclosures, divorces, or inherited properties.
We committed to doing things ethically. This industry has a reputation for taking advantage of people, especially when they’re vulnerable—and that’s always been something we fundamentally disagree with. We worked through impossible deals, stuck with people when things got difficult, provided resources, and treated everyone with the respect they deserved. That’s why we’ve earned nothing but five-star reviews. It’s rare in this space, and I’m very proud of that.
The more transactions we did, the more I became interested in earning my real estate license so I could help more people. After years of working off-market deals—often in the middle of crisis—I found a whole new meaning in helping people through the good moments too. Whether it is first-time homebuyers, growing families, or sellers ready for their next chapter, they are all embracing the future and making a huge life change that, more often than not, they’re really looking forward to. And I get to walk them through that process, which is an honor and a privilege.
My focus now is to grow my real estate business, creating a trusted name that people know they can count on. I have also been able to share in the success, bringing my brother, Bryce, on to help with the business. And it all started with a decision that many doubted, but I knew would pay off in the long run. It goes to show, if you believe it and are willing to work for it, anything is possible.
Outside of work, I enjoy working out, Jiu-Jitsu, and spending time with family and friends.
With over a hundred real estate transactions behind me, including some of the most complex deals you’ll come across, I bring a level of experience that goes far beyond the average agent. My background includes managing full rehab projects, building in-house contracting teams, and developing systems across multiple markets. I know how to estimate a property’s value on the spot, break down renovation budgets, and advise clients on everything from local code requirements to timing their sale based on market cycles. I work with buyers to identify high-upside opportunities and with sellers to prep their homes for top-dollar listings—often bringing in my own trusted crew to handle improvements so we know the work is quality. Having worked on pre-foreclosures, estate sales, and investment flips, I know how to handle tough negotiations and keep deals on track when problems arise.
Above all, I keep your best interests at the center of every decision. I believe that when you focus on doing right by people, offering honest guidance, delivering real results, and making the process as smooth as possible, everything else takes care of itself. That’s how I have grown my business, on a foundation of integrity, transparency, and genuine care.
Sincerely,

Ivan Vega
